Safety maintenance supplies cataloger Lab Safety Supply, a division of $900 million MRO cataloger/distributor W.W. Grainger, on Feb. 26 bought $20 million environmental and forestry equipment cataloger Ben Meadows Co. for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition provides Lab Safety with a “new growth opportunity,” Lab Safety president Larry Loizzo said in a statement. The company plans to leverage the two catalogers’ product lines and customers through the integration of the two books.
He adds that Ben Meadows has grown at a high single-digit compound annual growth rate over the past five years. “We’re looking to capitalize on Ben Meadows’ success and add to it with increased product access and service capabilities.”
