DMA Elects Board Members for 2002

New York–Two catalogers are among the seven new board members of the Direct Marketing Association. The new members will begin their three-year terms on the association’s board of directors in 2002.

The new members are Christopher Cleghorn, executive vice president, direct and interactive marketing, for Chicago-based Easter Seals; Patrick Connolly, executive vice president/chief marketing officer of San Francisco-based cataloger/retailer Williams-Sonoma; Arthur Conway, president of Mahwah, NJ-based DialAmerica Marketing; Steven Freiberg, president/CEO, North America Citi/Cards, for Citigroup of Long Island City, NY; George Ittner, president/CEO of New York-based cataloger Newport News; Jere Brooks King, vice president, worldwide marketing communications, San Jose, CA-based Cisco Systems; and Stephen Lacey, president of the publishing group of Meredith Corp., based in Des Moines, IA.

Six current board members have been reelected to serve another three years: Gordon Cooke, president/CEO of cataloger/retailer The J. Jill Group, based in Quincy, MA; G. Steven Dapper, president/CEO, New York-based Hawkeye Communications; Alejandro DiPaola, chairman of di Paola & Associates, [YES, DiPaola is spelled 2 different ways]based in Buenos Aires; G.M. O’Connell, chairman of Norwalk, CT-based Modem Media; and Michael Sherman, president of multititle cataloger Fingerhut Cos., based in Minnetonka, MN.
