Broder Bros. Acquires Full Line Distributors

Plymouth, MI—Broder Bros., a $440 million wholesale cataloger of imprintable sportswear, is getting bigger. On July 10 it acquired fellow wholesale cataloger Full Line Distributors. Broder will tender a cash offer for all Full Line Distributors issued and outstanding shares of common stock for $2.95 per share. Full Line has approximately 4.2 million shares outstanding. The deal, valued at approximately $12.4 million, is expected to close in mid-August.

Broder will fold Full Line’s six distribution warehouses into its national network, doubling its geographic reach. The $100 million Ball Ground, GA-based Full Line produces infant and toddler apparel under the Rabbit Skins brand, ladies‘ and girls’ clothing under the L.A. T Sportswear brand, men’s and boys’ apparel under the L.A. T Sport brand, and corporate casualwear under the Woodbridge brand. According to Broder president Todd Turkin, Broder will begin introducing Full Line products into the Broder catalog next year. Broder may also divest Full Line’s manufacturing business. Broder Bros. itself was acquired by private equity firm Bain Capital last year.
