Washington—The U.S. Postal Service on Oct. 1 launched Confirm, a software program that provides tracking information to mailers on both their outgoing mail and incoming responses, using the USPS’s Planet Code technology. Planet Codes identify mailers and store information about mailpieces using unique barcodes. “Confirm gives mailers a window into our operations and brings them one step closer to being able to know where their mail is at any time,” said USPS vice president, product development Nick Barranca in a statement.
