IGo sold for $8.4 million

To expand its product line and distribution network, portable computer maker Mobility Electronics is buying iGo, a cataloger of batteries and other accessories for mobile and wireless devices, for about $8.4 million in cash and stock.

Mobility Electronics’ European sales and marketing team will sell iGo’s products through Mobility Electronics’ distribution and reseller partnerships, which the company says marks the first introduction of these products to the European market. Mobility Electronics will also likely use iGo’s domestic catalog and Website to sell its own products.
