Getty Images Narrows Loss
Seattle-based imagery products marketer Getty Images (Nasdaq: GETY) posted significant improvements to its bottom line. The net loss for 2001 was $95.3 million, compared to a net loss of $169.7 million for 2000. Total revenue dropped 7%, to $451.0 million from $484.8 million. Looking ahead, Getty expects 2002 revenue of $430 million-$460 million.
Anthropologie 4Q Sales Up 3% Retailer Urban Outfitters (Nasdaq: URBN), which also mails the Anthropologie catalog, said total fourth-quarter sales increased 21%, to $103.8 million from $85.6 million last year. Direct-to-consumer sales, which include the Websites as well as the catalog, increased 3%.
