Phoenix-based cataloger/retailer PetSmart has promoted Kenneth T. Hall to senior vice president/chief marketing officer. Hall has served in the role on an interim basis since October 2002, when Susanna Eiselsberg resigned from the position. Hall joined PetSmart in October 2000 as vice president, strategic planning and customer relationships. Prior to that, he worked at Bain & Co., where he developed business and customer loyalty strategies and programs for retail, auto manufacturing, and financial services companies.

New York-based Sure Fit made several new hires. Rick Platt was appointed vice president of sales; Linda Schropp joined as vice president of design; Choi Auyeung was hired as design quality manager; Mindie Adler is the company’s new senior Internet marketing manager; and Michael Staskiewicz was appointed media manager.

The Washington-based National Retail Federation has named David Hogan III its senior vice president, chief information officer.
