Macy’s will begin hiring for its new Tulsa, OK distribution center in February or March 2015, with 1,250 to 1,500 core and seasonal workers expected to be employed at this time next year.

Target Corp. plans to spend $50 million on a new distribution center in Memphis that will create more than 400 jobs.

Cabela’s will build a 600,000-square-foot distribution center outside of Salt Lake City, to open in summer 2015.

An 800,000-square-foot Sears distribution center outside Memphis is being marketed by the building’s owner. Another Sears DC in Columbus, OH, is set to close by the end of 2014.

Ashley Furniture plans to open a combination warehouse and retail outlet center in Romeoville, IL. The 454,110-square-foot facility will provide delivery services, customer pick-up, offices and a retail outlet component.

FedEx is planning to build a 312,000-square-foot distribution center in Little Rock, AR. The 44.38-acre site was purchased for $3.38 million, and the project is expected to take a year.

Furniture manufacturer Flexsteel Industries will add 141 jobs at a 500,000-square-foot distribution center it recently bought in Edgerton, KS. At the same complex, Kubota Tractor Corp. will lease a 450,000-square-foot parts distribution in the third quarter of 2015.
