Amazon announced its second annual Prime Day, set to take place on Tuesday, July 12. This year, the marketplace giant will offer more than 100,000 deals worldwide to Prime members.

New and existing Prime members in the U.S., U.K., Spain, Italy, Japan, Germany, France, Canada, Belgium and Austria will be able to find deals across all departments and categories.  Members in the U.S. will see deals as often as every five minutes throughout the day.

“Prime Day is a unique opportunity to discover new items and great deals, on top of our already low prices,” said Greg Greeley, Vice President of Amazon Prime. “Following last year’s record sales, we have dramatically increased the inventory behind many deals. In fact, in the U.S. we have nearly double the TV units compared to Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.”

Last year, Amazon announced its success with Prime Day, reporting that it sold more units on Prime Day than the biggest Black Friday.  Customers ordered 34.4 million items across Prime-eligible countries.  Amazon broke Black Friday records with 398 items sold per second.
