New York direct marketing group honors Leon Henry

Leon Henry

, founder/president/owner of the Scarsdale, NY-based list and alternative media firm bearing his name, was honored with the Hudson Valley Direct Marketing Association’s first annual Founders Award during the group’s holiday luncheon on Dec. 6 in Greenwich, CT. Henry founded his firm more than 46 years ago in Cleveland, OH, when he pioneered the concept of “sales bags”–supermarket and drug store bags that contained advertising. Henry was one of the cofounders of the Hudson Valley DMA in the late ’80s.

The luncheon drew 140 New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey area direct marketers, double the attendance at last year’s holiday event.
