Airgas to Acquire Oilind Safety
Oilind Safety will operate as a stand-alone company within a new Airgas organization.
Airgas, a marketer of specialty gases, welding and safety equipment has agreed to acquire the assets and operations of Energy Safety Services, doing business as Oilind Safety.
The $21 million Oilind Safety provides rental safety equipment and services. The companies expect to complete the deal by July 1, subject to customary closing conditions.
Phoenix-based Oilind Safety will operate as a stand-alone company within a new Airgas organization that includes construction and rental businesses.
Oilind Safety’s current president, Kirk Peda, will report to Jack Appolonia, who has been promoted to vice president of construction and rental businesses for Radnor, PA-based Airgas.
