Collegiate Pacific Buys Another Distributor

Dallas-based sports equipment marketer Collegiate Pacific has signed a letter of intent to acquire $7 million Bourbonnais, IL-based team sports distributor Salkeld Sports. Collegiate, which sells primarily to schools, teams, and institutions, has purchased several other regional distributorships during the past year, including Orlando Team Sports, Dixie Sporting Goods, and Kessler Team Sports.
