Annual Sales Up 12% Victoria’s Secret Direct
The direct-to-consumer unit for women’s apparel cataloger/retailer Victoria’s Secret, part of Columbus, OH-based Limited Brands (NYSE: LTD), showed a 12% gain in sales, to $1.1 billion for the year ended Jan. 29. For fiscal 2003 direct sales totaled $995 million. The increase came on a 2% bump in circulation, to 403 million catalogs from 394 million the previous year.
Net sales for the company as a whole increased 5%, to $9.4 billion. Comparable store sales increased 4%. Net income rose 9%, to $637.3 million.
