Hanover Direct Eliminates Finance Post

Edgewater, NJ-based Hanover Directeliminated the position of executive vice president, finance and administration, laying off Brian C. Harriss. The move is part of the multititle mailer's ongoing strategic business realignment program. Charles Blue, senior vice president/chief financial officer, will assume the additional role of company secretary, according to a release.

Separately, Martin L. Edelman, counsel to law firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walke, resigned from the board, effective Sunday. In October, Edelman joined Hanover's board as a designee of the company's series B preferred stockholder, Chelsey Direct.
