In fact, since 2010 alone, Amazon has invested $14 billion in building new warehouses and hiring additional back-end staff all in an effort to bring more products, to more people, the fastest way possible.

Amazon Opens First Contact Center in Kentucky

Amazon has opened an 80,000 square-foot contact center in Kentucky this month and while the customer service center is the first of its kind there, it joins four other fulfillment centers across the Bluegrass State.

Amazon Creates 5,000 New Fulfillment Jobs

Amazon announced on July 29 that it is creating more than 5,000 new full-time jobs in its U.S. fulfillment network to meet growing customer demand. Fulfillment associates and lead fulfillment associates are being hired at 17 fulfillment centers across 10 states.

Barnes & Noble CEO William Lynch Resigns

William Lynch has resigned from his post as Barnes & Noble CEO effective immediately, according to a release issued by the retailers. The company also said that a replacement has yet to be named.
