Jetblack Shutting Down After Failing to Gain Traction or Find a Buyer

Walmart is shutting down its Manhattan-based concierge delivery service Jetblack two years after its experimental launch, as it continued to lose money while not gaining customers or finding a buyer, the Wall Street Journal reported. Walmart had been in talks with potential buyers last year but the talks ended without bearing any fruit.

Hudson’s Bay to Close 10 Lord & Taylor Stores As Losses Grow

Hudson’s Bay Company said it plans to close up to 10 Lord & Taylor stores over the next year, including its New York City flagship on Fifth Avenue, to focus on its digital presence. Overall Hudson’s Bay reported a double-digit gain in online sales but a larger overall net loss in the first quarter.
