Henry Schein Appoints Four

Healthcare products and services provider Henry Schein recently announced several promotions and new hires. The Melville, NY-based marketer has promoted Mark Mastroianni to director of marketing communications and programs in the company’s medical division. Mastroianni joined Henry Schein in 2005 as marketing communications manager and privileges manger for the medical division.

Henry Schein, which employs more than 12,000 people and has operations or affiliates in 20 countries, has appointed Susan Wong vice president of compensation and benefits. Most recently, Wong was a vice president at Avaya

Rich Miranda was appointed to the newly created position of vice president, North America planning and development. Previously, Miranda was senior vice president of business development for Henry Schein Dental and president of Zahn Dental, the company’s dental laboratory division.

And Michael Helig was promoted to president, medical division in Europe. Helig has led the company’s German and Austrian medical businesses for more than 10 years. He was instrumental in creating Henry Schein’s pan-European veterinary business.
