Miles Kimball has promoted Vicki Updike from vice president of marketing to president. The gifts cataloger's parent company, Blyth, has also named Stan Krangel, president of its Catalog & Internet Group, as president of Boca Java.

Western apparel merchant Sheplers has named Bob Myers as CEO. Myers had been senior vice president of QVC.com, multimedia platforms, broadcast operations and technology.

Howard Lester will retire as chairman/CEO of Williams-Sonoma in May 2010. He will retain a consulting and advisory role through December 2012 and have the title of chairman emeritus.

Fetch Enterprises has named Edward R. Howell CEO. Howell previously served as senior vice president/chief retail officer and a member of the board of L.L. Bean.

SharperImage.com has hired Mark Anthony as senior vice president/general merchandise manager, and Steve August as senior vice president/chief marketing officer. Both Anthony and August had been operational vice presidents at Sharper Image rival Brookstone.
