Most recently, Shoff was senior vice president/general manager, applied science, for Roche Diagnostics.

Women’s shoes marketer SimplySoles.com has hired Shine Lynn as vice president of marketing. Lynn had been product operations manager for Anthropologie Direct.

Musician's Friend, a division of Guitar Center, has hired Charles Hunsinger as executive vice president of information technology and appointed Jeff Roberson vice president of information technology. Hunsinger most recently served as chief information officer of Corporate Express US; Roberson had been vice president of information technology for The Woodwind & Brasswind, a division of Musician's Friend.

Retailer Utrecht Art Supplies has appointed Michael Ippolito CEO. Ippolito most recently served as president of Ballard Designs, a division of Cornerstone Brands specializing in home furnishings.

HSN has named Mark Ethier as CEO of Cornerstone Brands, which includes the Ballard Designs, TravelSmith and Smith+Noble catalogs. Ethier, who will report directly to HSN CEO Mindy Grossman, had been vice president and chief operations officer with HSN; before that he was senior vice president of global operations at The Disney Stores.
