The Massive Scale of Amazon’s Distribution Operations Revealed Through Images

Photos of Amazon’s Phoenix, AZ distribution center hit the internet and the images help paint a better picture of what it’s like to work around the massive amount of inventory that comes into the largest ecommerce sites warehouse every day.

Here are three takeaways from this article by Megan Rose Dickey from Business Insider:

1. Amazon has 80 different fulfillment centers throughout the world.
2. The Phoenix fulfillment center is the size of 28 football fields.
3. For this holiday season, Amazon hired an additional 50,000 seasonal employees to help with the high product demand from shoppers.
