Seeking quality and authenticity an the products they buy, millions of Chinese consumers are purchasing directly from foreign retailers through online shopping marketplaces. These online cross-border shoppers are called “Hai Tao” in China, which translated to “ocean search.” Tmall Global recently surveyed more than 5,600 cross-border shoppers to better understand their characteristics and preferences.
