Watsonville, CA-based boating supplier West Marine has named Geoff Eisenberg president/CEO. Eisenberg, the former head of Salz Leathers, has worked on and off for West Marine for the past 30 years. He replaces Peter Harris, who served at the helm of the company for nearly three years.

Coach, the New York-based leather goods cataloger/retailer, has hired Andre Cohen as senior vice president, international wholesale, effective February 2008. Cohen joins Coach from Timberland, where he had been managing director, Asia Pacific, and based in Singapore.

Melville, NY-based healthcare products and services provider Henry Schein has appointed Michael Racioppi to senior vice president/chief merchandising officer, a newly created position reporting to Henry Schein chairman/CEO Stanley M. Bergman. Racioppi had been president of Henry Schein's Medical Group; that position has been taken by David McKinley, president of Henry Schein Practice Solutions. The company also announced that corporate chief technology officer Jim Harding will now also lead Henry Schein's Technology Group.

The Talbots has appointed Paula Bennett president of the J. Jill brand. Bennett, who will report directly to Talbots president/CEO Trudy F. Sullivan, joins the company Jan. 28 from Orchard Brands where she was president/CEO of the Appleseed's, Tog Shop, and WinterSilks brands. She replaces Phil Kowalczyk, who was recently appointed chief operating officer of The Talbots.

Richard Tannenbaum has been named vice president of business strategy at The Vitamin Shopper, a retail and direct marketer of dietary supplements. Tannenbaum was formerly vice president of distribution services at PetSmart.

William J. Colombo, president/chief operating officer of Dick's Sporting Goods — parent company of cataloger/retailer Golf Galaxy — is stepping down from these positions to assume the role of vice chairman. Colombo's responsibilities will be split among Joseph M. Schmidt, executive vice president of operations, Timothy E. Kullman, executive vice president, finance, administration/chief financial officer, and chairman/CEO Edward W. Stack.
