Ratan was previously president of VocalTec Americas and senior vice president, strategy for VocalTec Communications. Also, Paige Lance was appointed vice president, program development. Lance had been director of both corporate development and the senior management program for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Cedar Knolls, NJ-based digital media/publishing cataloger MediaBay hired Patricia Campbell as chief operating officer. She was most recently executive vice president of Barnesandnoble.com.

New York-based Gould Paper Corp. promoted Vincent Eugenio, a 20-year employee of the company, to vice president, sales for its metro division.
