Gallery: How Merchants are Using Pinterest

The visual social sharing site Pinterest has grown rapidly since its launch last spring. In fact, according to a recent Web activity report by online measurement firm ComScore, Pinterest’s total unique visitors grew 56% month-over-month in January to more than 11.7 million. Many merchants are starting to explore Pinterest as a social channel, and this gallery takes a look at which ones already have an interest.

THREADLESS ran a Valentine’s Day contest to encourage community engagement. The submitted-design t-shirt seller received a “whopping” 366 entries according to its blog. As a result, it added a Pinterest button on submission pages so its users can now post right from Threadless to their pin boards.
