Leslie Bacon, Group Publisher of Multichannel Merchant, recently spoke with Maura Packham, VP of Marketing for Quebecor World, to discuss Quebecor World’s participation in the upcoming 25th ACCM Conference (Orlando, May 19-22).
I understand that Quebecor World is launching IMCS, your new Integrated Multichannel Solutions program at the conference. What can you tell us about IMCS?
“We think that some people will be surprised to see us in this new role. IMCS is a direct result of knowing where we can offer extraordinary value for our customers. IMCS rallies unmatchable expertise, our own combined with the strength of our strategic alliances, and gives our customers an integrated, solution-focused approach to the challenges they face in marketing across multiple channels.”
Multichannel marketers have known that integration can give them lift for a long time. What’s so unique about IMCS?
“You’re right. Integration is widely known to provide improved results, often with lower costs. Yet we still see great challenges for a wide range of customers, from the start up or smaller specialized merchants to industry behemoths. While an integrated campaign is the end goal, getting there remains elusive because many customers are challenged by legacy systems and organizational structures. A discovery orientation with an integrator like Quebecor World, within our IMCS framework, can speed this process and provide low-risk discovery.”
“It all boils down to offering an integrated, consultative approach to solving our customer’s greatest multichannel marketing challenges—simply and quickly. We can start today by testing a single integrated solution that combines print with database and interactive solutions. We make it easy to get started, easy to build momentum. It’s a small decision with big impact.”
As the sponsor of the 2008 Annual Multichannel Merchant Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, May 21st, Quebecor World seems to be taking an industry leadership role. Is this true?
“We know there’s lots of interest in what’s going on at Quebecor World and we’re proud of the role we are playing at ACCM. We have sponsored the awards luncheon for many years, however exhibiting is relatively new for us. We look forward to the opportunity to talk to as many attendees as possible, to demonstrate new tools, celebrate the launch of IMCS and introduce our strategic alliances with Daystar Wheaton Group and Conversys, Inc.”
Can you give us a sneak preview of what people will see at Booth 723?
“You mean besides the fact we are giving away an iPhone? IMCS will be putting the spotlight on several solutions ACCM attendees will want to know about. In addition to our Mail Optimization Program we will be showcasing Net.Driver, a new print product for catalogers that offers superior response at reduced postage costs. In addition, attendees will be able to view a demo of Production Management Control (PMC2), an integrated, customized technology solution that will help you master your own technology. We’ll also be featuring print-to-web solutions from Conversys, Inc.”
“Daystar Wheaton Group will be demonstrating DB Pro, their database access tool set, and Business Simulator, an interactive tool that extrapolates how changes in business circumstances affect future financials. This is ‘bottom-up’ forecasting driven by atomic-level database and cost information. It allows marketers to plan with confidence, including running ‘what-if’ scenarios to counteract cost increases. The demand to see this product will be great and the timeslots limited, so be sure to register in advance.”
It sounds like Quebecor World and the IMCS team will be as busy at the ACCM Conference as the Multichannel Merchant staff will be. Good luck to you and see you in Orlando, May 19-22!
