Cataloger/retailer The Talbots has promoted Rosemary Murphy to vice president/general merchandise manager, apparel. Murphy, who joined the Hingham, MA-based clothing marketer in 1990, will now oversee its core women’s apparel business.

Weehawken, NJ-based list brokerage and management firm ClientLogic Specialists Marketing Services has appointed Kevin Corday senior marketing services director. Previously, he was the head of U.K.-based IPC Media’s direct marketing efforts.

U.S. Postal Service Postmaster General John E. Potter has appointed Ralph J. Moden as vice president, strategic planning, and Robert J. Pedersen as vice president/treasurer. Moden, a 27-year USPS veteran, has served in numerous operations positions; Pedersen served as the assistant treasurer for financing and cash management.

Manchester Center, VT-based cataloger/retailer The Vermont Country Store has appointed Randi Lawrence director of circulation and analysis. Lawrence previously served as operational vice president of mail order with Brookstone and as president/CEO of SmartPets.

Peterborough, NH-based list brokerage and management firm Millard Group has promoted Linda McAleer to executive vice president, list brokerage and list management, and Mike Hayden to senior vice president, list brokerage. McAleer has been with Millard for nearly 20 years. Hayden, who has been with Millard for 14 years, previously worked for cataloger/retailer Orvis.

San Antonio, TX-based database marketing firm Harte-Hanks is combining its direct and interactive agencies into one, resulting in the promotion of Frank Harvey to president, Harte-Hanks Direct & Interactive, and of Hensley Evans to president, interactive, Harte-Hanks Direct & Interactive.

Holsted Marketing, a marketing services firm based in New York, has appointed Carolyn Kraft director of marketing. Previously, Kraft served as vice president for marketing at Troll Communications.

Richardson, TX-based marketing and CRM solutions provider KnowledgeBase Marketing has appointed Larry Eppard chief operating officer and David Solomon CRM strategist in the database marketing services division. Previously, Eppard served the company as chief technology officer, and Solomon was president of TechVision, Donnelly Marketing’s technology and Internet division.

St. Paul, MN-based catalog marketing and list processing service provider Catalog Marketing Services (CMS) has announced the promotion of Connie Martini to director, list processing services, and Sue Graybill to director, list processing operations. Martini and Graybill both previously served as list services team managers for the company.

Chicago-based R.R. Donnelley has named Timothy M. Stratman president of RRD Direct, the company’s direct mail business. Stratman previously led the development of a supply chain management strategy for the firm.

Portland, ME-based direct response marketing provider MediaPower has appointed Elizabeth T. Schoch to its staff to develop mail and catalog capabilities for the firm. Schoch was a freelance writer and communications consultant in New York.
