FedEx Freight to Increase Shipping Rates by 3.9%

FedEx announced this week that its subsidiary, FedEx Freight, will increase its shipping rates by 3.9%, effective March 31.

The shipping giant announced the rate change on March 3 and said it applies to all FedEx Freight shipments made within the United States, between Canada, within Canada, and between the U.S. and Mexico, and within Mexico.

FedEx previously announced increases to shipping rates for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground, which were effective Jan. 6. UPS Ground, Air and International, and Air Freight rates within and between the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico increased an average net of 4.9%.

The new base rates for freight will be available at fedex.com on March 31.
