Third-quarter sales for Trevose, PA-based imprintable sportswear distributor Broder Bros. slipped 2.5%, to $249.2 million. For the three months ended Sept. 30, income from operations rose 9%, to $8.5 million. But the net loss for the quarter was $3.2 million, compared with a net loss of $1.7 million for the third quarter of last year.
In late September, Broder acquired “substantially” all the assets of $40 million competitor Amtex Imports for approximately $6.8 million.
