Amazon Launches Sunday Delivery in India

Amazon, Amazon India, Sunday delivery, ecommerce, Indian ecommerce, Shipping/Delivery, Operations and FulfillmentAmazon India has launched Sunday delivery at residential addresses for all Fulfilled by Amazon products at no extra cost, according to numerous reports. Beginning with 100 cities, it will continue to expand.

While placing an order, Indian customers can select an address marked as “home” and see Sunday delivery promises during checkout. For example, a customer ordering with one-day delivery on Saturday will now see Sunday promises instead of Monday promises.

Amazon is launching Sunday delivery for residential addresses with same-day delivery, one-day delivery and two-day delivery. Customers choosing standard delivery (2-4 days) to residential addresses served by Amazon Logistics will see Sundays listed as a working day while computing delivery promises.

“Providing our customers with a fast, reliable, anytime and anywhere delivery experience is one of our key pillars to ensure customer delight,” said Samuel Thomas, Director Transportation and Logistics, Amazon India. “With our Sunday delivery promise, customers across 100 cities now have the benefit of getting uninterrupted deliveries of their orders through the week.”
