Lenzburg, Switzerland–Office supplies cataloger Viking Office Products has announced it will launch a catalog and Website in Switzerland. Viking plans to open a 6,000-sq.-m. warehouse in Lenzburg and to offer 24-hour delivery for customers in both the German- and the French-speaking regions of Switzerland. Its 30-person call center will house both native German- and French-speaking employees.
The Swiss print book will debut with a drop of 240,000 copies later this year or early next year. The catalog will feature approximately 3,500 products, which the company plans to increase to 7,500 later in 2002. The Swiss Website’s URL will be www.vikingdirekt.ch, and it will launch by mid-2002.
