Men’s apparel cataloger/retailer Jos. A. Bank Clothiers recorded a nearly 21% increase in combined catalog and Internet sales for the first quarter ended May 5. Total sales for the Hampstead, MD-based merchant rose nearly 14%, to $129.5 million, up from $113.7 million after the first quarter last year. Net income climbed 42.3, to $8.4 million, compared to $5.9 million last year. Earnings per share rose 41%, to 45 cents.
