Is there another ecommerce acquisition brewing? Birchbox has reportedly been discussing a potential sale with several retailers, including Walmart.

Recode reported that conversations have taken place between Walmart’s U.S. ecommerce head Marc Lore and Birchbox co-founder and CEO Katia Beauchcamp.

This makes perfect sense, as Walmart has been on an acquisition spree since Lore joined in the Jet.com acquisition last year. Popular brands that have landed in its M&A shopping cart include Moosejaw Mountaineering, Modcloth, Bonobos and Shoebuy (via Jet.com).

According to Recode, Birchbox raised more than $80 million from investors since its founding in 2010, plus a previously undisclosed venture debt that the startup secured in 2015.
