Casual Male Receives Approval on Financing

Canton, MA–Men’s apparel cataloger/retailer Casual Male Corp., whose titles include Work n’ Gear and Repp Ltd. Big & Tall, has received final approval from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York of a $135 million debtor-in-possession loan. The financing approval comes after the Casual Male and some of its subsidiaries filed voluntary petitions to reorganize under Chapter 11 on May 18. The financing will be provided by a lending group led by Fleet Retail Finance and Back Bay Capital Funding.
