CDW 2008 Sales Dip Slightly

CDW Corp. saw its 2008 sales slip less than 1%, to $8.07 billion. The Vernon Hills, IL-based computer reseller’s 2007 sales checked in at $8.14 billion.

“Our ability to hold sales relatively flat in this very difficult macroeconomic environment is testament to our industry leadership position, the power of our business model, and most importantly, the talent and hard work of our coworkers,” said CDW chairman/CEO John Edwardson in a release.

“In 2009, we are focused on growing market share and providing our unbeatable combination of products and services. We intend to emerge from this downturn in a position of strength by continuing to offer the best customer service in the industry,” Edwardson said. “In addition, we also continue our focus on working capital and liquidity. At the end of February 2009, we had approximately $400 million in cash on our balance sheet.”
