Datapipe Expands Global Presence with First Data Center in Russia

RussiaPic-300LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Datapipe, a leader in managed cloud services for the enterprise, today expanded its presence in Europe with the opening of a new data center in Moscow, Russia. Designed in part to accommodate the growing demand for ecommerce throughout Russia, the new state-of-the-art center will provide Datapipe enterprise clients with global reach, scale, and organizational agility across the European region.

In 2015, 30 million online shoppers in Russia generated an estimated 148 million orders. With 160 million small packages sent to online consumers in 2015, up 10 percent from the previous year, Russia’s domestic online retail market is growing in real terms. The location of Datapipe’s Moscow data center lets global enterprises operate and sell in Russia while abiding by the country’s data sovereignty laws.

“The new center in Moscow continues our strategic global expansion allowing our clients to take advantage of the rapidly growing ecommerce industry in Russia,” said Robb Allen, CEO of Datapipe. “Many enterprises are focused on Russia in anticipation of the 2018 FIFA World Cup – this expansion enables us to more effectively partner with them.”
