DMA Names John Greco Jr. CEO

The Direct Marketing Association on July 7 named John Greco Jr. president/CEO. He replaces Bob Wientzen, who left the organization at the end of June.

Greco has no background in the catalog business. He did hold several executive positions with printer R.R. Donnelley between 1996 and 2000–but none were with Donnelley’s catalog unit.

Last year Greco cofounded a Watchung, NJ-based holding company called Enterprises, which includes Greco Associates, a marketing, business development, and association management services company, and Greco Development and Construction, a real estate investment and management company. He was previously president/CEO of the Yellow Pages Integrated Media Association.

Before holding senior vice president roles in marketing, technology, and business development at Donnelley, Greco spent 19 years at AT&T, holding such positions as director of AT&T’s Consumer Laboratory Center of Excellence at AT&T Bell Laboratories and AT&T Consumer Communications Services.
