If you happened to be doing your holiday shopping in New York this past December, yes, that was actor Tony Randall in Lighthouse International’s midtown store. As part of a promotional shopping tour, Randall – who is best known for his role as the fastidious Felix Unger in the television series The Odd Couple – and his wife, Heather Harlan, checked out Lighthouse’s offering of merchandise for the visually impaired. The couple’s purchases included a high-visibility red luggage set as well as an egg poacher that clucks when the eggs are just right. Hey Felix – how about a “high-visibility” cigar ashtray for your friend Oscar Madison?
