Financial report: Successories posts 3Q loss

Motivational products manufacturer/marketer Successories (Nasdaq: SCES) posted a net loss of $1.8 million for the quarter ended Nov. 3. A year earlier, the Aurora, IL-based company reported net income of $332,000. Overall third-quarter sales declined 25%, to $9.9 million. Catalog and Web sales dropped 18%, due in part to reduced prospecting. Company-owned retail store sales tumbled 46%.
