FIRING BACK: Good things could use smaller packages

Ikea apparently likes to ensure its products are packed safely. When one Catalog Age staffer recently received her order from the home furnishings and accessories retailer/cataloger, she had to claw her way to the bottom of a 23″ x 20″ x 20″ box of styrofoam peanuts just to find her three small items that could have easily fit into a large shirt box.

Luckily, the box was scooped up by a fellow staffer for his move to a new home, so the extra packaging didn’t go to waste – this time.
