Forrester Research, Gilt, and Alibaba are Headlining Growing Global 2015

Growing_Global_Conference_logo_500Forrester Research’s Zia Daniell Wigder, Gilt’s Oksana Voronenko, and Alibaba’s Jim Tobyne will be the keynote speakers at Multichannel Merchant’s Growing Global conference July 21-22 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, CA.

Widger, the Vice President and Research Director at Forrester Research, will speak about the three trends changing the face of global ecommerce. Those three trends are how mobile commerce differs around the world today; how omnichannel offerings are developing in different markets and how consumers’ expectations of omnichannel experiences tend to evolve; and which marketplaces brands are using to expand their global footprints, and how they can be used to replace or supplement a brand’s own localized ecommerce sites.

Voronenko, Gilt’s Director of International Strategy and Operations, will speak about Gilt’s storied journey of going global and the lessons learned along the way. Voronenko’s will discuss how Gilt maps its five customer experience pillars to target markets, finds ways to create scalable market relevance, and keeps customers highly engaged and connected around the world.

Tobyne will talk about the five things retailers need to know about the Chinese Consumer. He will discuss how Singles Day became the world’s largest online shopping day, how the rise of the middle class fuels China’s ecommerce and mobile commerce, why marketplaces have become the dominant ecommerce sales channel of choice in China, how to best capture the attention and wallet of the Chinese consumer, and Alibaba’s solutions for helping U.S. businesses tap into this exciting new market.
