GameStop to Close Several Stores

More and more retailers are closing stores and other one joins the list. GameStop is planning to close about 150 of its stores in 2017. CNBC reported that GameStop’s video game category has become weak.

The closure of stores represents about 2% to 3% of its global store footprint.

Dealerscope reported that this move is part of a physical store strategy shift that will see the company open 35 “collectibles” stores and 65 new “technology brand” stores.
