a Stamford, CT-based cataloger that markets “classic” toys to grandparents for their grandchildren, has put itself on the block. The $300,000-plus company, which has a customer base of more than 125,000, is seeking $249,000.

Owner Linda Rosenthal is selling the nine-year-old limited liability company partly for personal reasons: to free herself up to finish her graduate degree in education and to enable her to teach foreign languages in the upcoming months. As for her business reasons, “for this company to truly reach its potential, it must be run by someone with more-savvy marketing experience and, more important, deeper financial pockets that I have,” she says.
