Clothing and accessories retailer H&M confirmed Business Insider’s report that it will in fact be launching an ecommerce site in the U.S. next month,  according to H&M’s press officer Anna Eriksson in a recent phone interview.

According to Eriksson, no date has been set in August just yet and the retailer plans to release more information once the launch gets closer.

H&M already offers online shopping in Europe and it buys products from around 800 independent suppliers mainly in Asia and Europe, according to its website.

H&M currently has around 2,900 brick-and-mortar stores in more than 40 countries.  It was first established in 1947 in Västeras, Sweden by Erling Persson, according to its website.

Collections for H&M were created by 150 in-house designers together with buyers and pattern makers, according to its website.
