(Direct Newsline) The chairman of the Government Reform Committee, Rep. Thomas M. Davis III (R-VA), intends to name a task force on postal reform to be chaired by Rep. John M. McHugh (R-NY).
The task force will operate under the auspices of the committee, says a spokesperson for Davis’s office. McHugh, who has been fighting for postal reform since his election to the House in 1994, is widely considered the House’s leading expert on postal service issues.
