Vernon Hills, IL-based computer reseller CDW registered a solid third quarter. For the three months ended Sept. 30, total sales reached $1.74 billion, an increase of 4% over the $1.67 billion for the same period last year. Net income rose 6%, to $77.7 million. Direct Web sales climbed 9%, to $496.3 million, accounting for 28.5% of total sales.
