Nutritional supplements cataloger NBTY (Nasdaq: NBTY) has acquired certain assets of HealthCentral.com out of bankruptcy, including the customer list of cataloger L&H Vitamins and the customer lists and URLs of Vitamins.com and WebRx.com. Bohemia, NY-based NBTY paid $2.8 million in cash for the assets. The acquisition, approved by the bankruptcy court on Dec. 6, is expected to close by Christmas. L&H Vitamins, Vitamins.com, and WebRx.com had a combined customer list of about 1.8 million names and about $15 million in sales.
