Rye, NY-based Lillian Vernon Corp. has tapped Jonathan Shapiro as its new president. He has served as management consultant to the gifts and home goods cataloger since January 2003.
Shapiro replaces Kevin Green, who had been president from July 2000 until Lillian Vernon was sold this past July to ZelnickMedia and Ripplewood Holdings. At that time Green assumed the role of chief marketing officer.
Shapiro, 40, was formerly the chief strategy officer at New York-based Internet marketing firm DoubleClick and an executive at global think tank McKinsey & Co. In addition to extending the Lillian Vernon brand, Shapiro will also be in charge of the catalog and online businesses.
