SendAmerica,
the sister company of stuffed bears marketer The Vermont Teddy Bear Co., launched its print catalog in time for the holidays. The catalog sells handcrafted U.S.-made gift items, including jewelry, gourmet foods, wreaths, and Christmas trees, created from artisans across the country.
The catalog mailed in October to 300,000 prospects and customers from the Website, which debuted in November 2000. Director Spencer Newman says that SendAmerica has not yet determined the frequency of the catalog.
The Shelburne, VT-based company also recently introduced on its site Artists for America, an online gift collection with a patriotic theme that raises money for the United Way Sept. 11 fund. All profits from this collection will benefit this fund, and a portion of the artisan’s proceeds will go to the charities of their choice.
