DIRECT-TO-CONSUMER FULFILLMENT provider/food gifts merchant Southern Fulfillment Services is beefing up its roster. The company in April acquired Gift Baskets Remembered, an e-commerce gourmet gift baskets company founded in 2004.
“With the Spring holidays and impending graduations upon us, we’re thrilled to have Gift Baskets Remembered join our family of brands,” said Bob Daberkow, vice president of business intelligence for Southern Fulfillment Services, in a statement.
“The companies’ complementary products and services provide us with the opportunity to offer the industry’s most comprehensive range of gift-giving services to our corporate and consumer client base,” he said.
Vero Beach, FL-based Southern Fulfillment Services acquired Pittman & Davis, a catalog and Internet company of citrus fruits and gourmet foods, in April 2008. The company also owns several other food gifts mailers, including Hale Groves, Citrus Country Groves and Eilenberger Bakery.
