Transcat Posts Annual Profit

Though its fourth-quarter net income dipped 32%, to $43,000 from $63,000 the previous year, Rochester, NY-based test, measurement, and calibration products and services marketer Transcat posted an annual profit of $400,000, compared with a net loss of $4.7 million last year.

Net sales for the fourth quarter ended March 27 were $15.3 million, up 10% from $13.9 million the previous fourth quarter. Annual net sales dipped slightly, to $53.3 million from $57.2 million.
